The current freight building of tenant dnata will be demolished in 2024 to enable the 2nd phase of the duplication of the Quebec carriageway. Doubling this taxiway increases safety at Schiphol and improves the infrastructure for airlines and Air Traffic Control the Netherlands. As a result, dnata will move to the new cargo building 17 after completion. Triple Group has been asked by Schiphol Commercial Real Estate to take on the task of managing director for the realization.
The aim is to realize a new freight building in the course of 2023, consisting of 61,000 m2 of industrial space with 6,700 m2 of indoor office space. The new cargo building will receive a BREAAM-NL Excellent certificate, which guarantees that this new construction project scores excellent in terms of sustainability.
The starting point for our work was the technical design and the contractor already selected for construction. From that point on, we have implemented a consultation structure for alignment and coordination with executive parties, client and consultants.
As a manager, we monitor coordination, timely delivery of drawings, progress and quality of the execution. Triple also takes care of the substantive and financial coordination and control of the additional and less work.
The new building will be completed in the third quarter of 2023, after which dnata will install its logistics equipment.
