Construction will start this month on the new Cargo Building 17 at Schiphol Zuidoost, a new building for dnata, one of the largest cargo handlers at Schiphol, currently located in Cargo Building 5/6 at Schiphol Zuid. Cargo Building 5 will be demolished in 2024 to accommodate the 2nd phase of the doubling of Lane Quebec, a 2nd flyover for aircraft over the A4. Doubling this lane increases safety at Schiphol and improves the infrastructure for airlines and Air Traffic Control the Netherlands. The first phase of this project was completed and put into use in mid-December.
The client Schiphol Commercial Real Estate has asked Triple Group to take on the task of managing director for the realization. The project is currently Schiphol Commercial's largest commercial property development and consists of 61,000 m2 of industrial space with 6,700 m2 of indoor office space. The design comes from DP6 architecture studio, Pieters Bouwtechniek and Halmos consultants and will receive a BREEAM Excellent certificate. The contractor is De Vries en Verburg Bouw. The new building will be taken into use in August 2024 and until then Triple Group is committed to this beautiful property development at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol with great enthusiasm.
